Vision & Objectives

HCFC’s principle is consistent with that of the professional football clubs in Europe.  Specifically, it is to develop young players on a long-term basis through the growing process of their childhood in order for them to be the most competitive and successful in their late teens.  The target age is the U-17 level, which is the youngest age level at which the FIFA World Cup takes place.  As is the case with the European clubs, HCFC is NOT necessarily focused on winning the games at the early teens, but is instead focused on the development of its players.

The younger the age levels are, the easier to win the game with a group of early matured children or those who may have a more active and aggressive personality than the others who have the right attitude to learn and work very hard.

The quality of the training should be evaluated by the progress and improvement that the players may have made.  The game should only be evaluated by how the players have played according to the coach’s instructions and the goals/objectives for that specific game.

At the appropriate time, however, HCFC will make its best efforts to expose its players to competitive tournaments with the goal of showcasing the potential of HCFC’s players to play at the college level and above.  To that end, when it is appropriate, HCFC will seek to promote its players through participation in local, out-of-state and international tournaments.
