Program Overview
HCFC is here for local youth players who love the game of soccer and strives to help them reach their maximum potential.
HCFC provides training based upon study and methods developed in countries where soccer is the primary sport of all more than 100 years. In addition to that, especially in Europe and some in South America, soccer is a multibillion-dollar business, and as a result, the organizations have very strong financial resources to support and develop the sport. They invest in studying and researching all aspects of the game and training in order to develop elite players and to improve the quality of the game.
However, in the other parts of the world where they have less history in the game and soccer is not the primary sport, they don’t have enough awareness or attempts to examine the youth training programs in details in order to develop the players to their maximum potential. Most parents of the youth players and the community itself may have very limited knowledge and ideas about the game as well as the youth training programs. Therefore, it may be very difficult for anyone to evaluate and recognize whether or not their children are receiving quality training. More than likely, they mistakenly judge the quality of training by just the outcome of the games that their children play, which should only be considered secondary for the development of the youth players.
At the youth level, it’s not winning the game or losing, it’s not playing the games as many as possible in order to develop the youth players. For instance, in England, they limit the number of the games at the youth level to 26 games a year so that they would be able to focus more on developing the players than preparing them to play the games. They also try to prevent those young players from getting burned out before reaching their primary age to perform their best.
The soccer training programs at the youth level are very different from those at the senior level due to the physical growth, physiological aspects, intelligence level of the youth players. Because of the nature of the game, as well as what is required to be a top player at the senior level, the youth players need step-by-step training as they grow up through each age level.
The contents of HCFC’s training program are specifically designed according to the respective age levels of its players on a long-term basis considering the characteristics of how children grow in order to help them develop to be at their very top in their mid to late-teens.
