Message from Keach Mizuno:

It is my passion and love for the game of soccer that had once been burned out after years of training day in and day out was rediscovered and has driven me to pursue one of the most respected coaching qualifications in England starting in 1994.

You would never know how much there is to learn about the game or the training unless you are exposed to the top level players and coaches in the world.  This was true for me, as I did not realize how much more I needed to learn about the game of soccer until obtaining my coaching education in England.

I've learned that superior coaches utilize their observation skills during the training and the game to analyze the players and the team, and they come up with effective training using their knowledge and creativity.  I have continuously been taking this approach in my training.  It is repetition of “Observe”, “Analyze”, “Plan”, “Execute” and “Evaluate” and “Observe” again through the training and the game.

I believe soccer is one of the most fair team sports of all.  I believe this because there is less advantage for the players simply because of his physical size, strength or quickness when compared with some other team sports.  In the game of soccer, one’s superior skills and intelligence play a very important role.  I've seen in many occasions where smaller players who are not as strong as bigger players can prevail by using their superior skills and intelligence !

Children are our future.  I have dedicated myself to my coaching education so that I can provide them with something that I was not given when I was a youth player: High Quality Training.  I’m here to give the best and the most effective coaching that I can offer for our local kids to help them make their dreams come true !"

Because of that the quality training at youth level requires to consider physical aspects, physiological aspects and intelligence level of those players as they grow, certain techniques and physical training should have to take place at a certain age.  If not, the players may have difficulty to master those techniques and execute them in the game with the tactical knowledge at an older age.

Do not misunderstand with the size of the club or the team simply just winning or losing at younger ages in order to choose a right club that is delivering quality training for your child.  I urge those parents who are interested in their children achieving the highest level possible to join HCFC before it is too late.  You would never underestimate what kind of training is required to help your child reach the highest potential !

PS:

It may have been known that I talk to my players very loudly during the game.  Yes, that is because I would need to reach them across the field with my instructions and advice that they would have to listen to.

Some people might interpret it as “Yelling” or “Screaming” or even “Bad temper”.  Wrong !  It should all be depending on what’s being said, but never how loud it’s being said.  In fact, I've never ever criticized my players after the fact that they made their best effort for it but weren't able to succeed.

As you try to teach someone in a distance in the open, they would never even hear what you say if you talk like you are in a class room.  Besides, they are very busy playing and would have hard time to hear anything you say even from their teammate just 10 yards away.

The players would also have to learn how to execute their technical skills according to their tactical knowledge during the game.  I’m always looking at the effort that they make, but not necessarily the result that they may end up with.  In most occasions, I’d try to reach them before something that might happen in order to let them be aware but not after something has happened.

Coaches need to be coaching the players but not to be criticizing them as a commentator.  That’s all depending on what they say, but not how loud they may say.
